MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – August 23, 2010 5:10 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Received a letter from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA) informing the town that we have been approved a $2,000,000 Rural Housing Service loan for the Public Works Building and Public Safety Complex projects. notifying the town that funds have been reserved. The form RD 1940-1, “Request for Obligation of Funds,” is the official notice that the funds have been reserved for the Town of Tolland.
Appointments for 2011 will be made on September 13th. Anyone currently serving will receive a letter asking if they would like to continue. Anyone not responding to the letter will not be reappointed.
An email was received from Robert Gery requesting that the pot holes at the end of Schoolhouse Road be repaired. The email was passed onto the Department of Public Works Superintendent.
